AIMSTAR Donates Earth Science Software to NASA GSFC

August 14, 2003

AIMSTAR Information Solutions, Inc. donated copies of its Earth Science software to NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center's (GSFC) Educator Resource Center. This donation was requested by the NASA GSFC Educator Resource Center's coordinator because an earlier donation had been so well received. The software is slated to be used in an upcoming workshop.

NASA ERCs are located on or near NASA Field Centers, as well as in planetariums, museums, colleges, universities, and other nonprofit organizations around the United States. NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Services the following States: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

One of AIMSTAR's major thrusts has been the development of educational multimedia software for the K-12 market. AIMSTAR's latest educational software title, Earth Science , is an interactive multimedia CD-ROM that helps users explore our Earth system. The CD-ROM presents information on 10 areas of earth phenomena: clouds, earthquakes, forests, global warming, great lakes, the ocean, ozone, polar ice, volcanoes, and wetlands. The CD is suitable for students in grades 5-12.
